This is my 18th year in education. I graduated from UMASS Lowell with a degree in music education in 2002. I taught near Boston for 2 years before taking a music position in Merrimack where I taught for 10 years. I graduated from Rivier University with a Master of Education in School Administration a few years prior to being hired as the Assistant Principal here at Heron Pond. This is my 6th year in this role working with a tremendous building staff and a strong administrative team. People often ask me how ended up in administration or why I chose this path. I have always given the same answer. When I taught I felt like I had a great connection with students and loved helping them and seeing them grow. As an administrator I have the same opportunity, but can now help both students and teachers.
My wife teaches high school art and does a great job reminding me what it is like to be a teacher and what the day to day is like for a teacher. We have two wonderful sons that remind us what the day to day is like for a student.
I love working at Heron Pond and really enjoy working with the teachers and students.
