Interim Principal

After 34 years in the classroom (10 in Goffstown and 24 in the Hollis Brookline district) teaching ancient and medieval history--as well as American history, I made the leap into administration and landed here at Heron Pond as the Assistant Principal in 2022. At the end of the 23-24 school year, after two years in the role of Assistant Principal, I was asked to move into the Principal's office. I was honored to be asked and I'm excited to lead Heron Pond into the 24-25 school year.
 

I earned my BA from Saint Anselm College and my MSEd and CAGS (both in Education Leadership) from the University of New England. My wife Claire and I, long-term Goffstown residents, are empty nesters with three grown children and six grandchildren. In our off time, we enjoy watching old movies and gardening. We are definite homebodies and although we have a house full of cats, we also love adopting senior dogs. Our most recent addition was a 10 year old puggle named Asia.

 

I bring a lot of classroom, coaching, teacher leader and administrative experience with me. In addition to my love of working with students and their parents, I am especially eager to work with the exceptional teachers of all experience levels that are found at Heron Pond. As Heron Pond's new leader, I hope to have a positive impact on the whole community!
