Interim Assistant Principal

My name is Aaron Regis and I am the Interim Assistant Principal at Heron Pond School. I have been lucky to have a varied career in education over the past seventeen years. I have worked as a paraprofessional, a history teacher, a special education teacher and special education coordinator. I have loved working with my students and staff, most recently at the Merrimack School District for the past nine years. However, I am excited for the opportunity to join the leadership team at Heron Pond School starting in the 2024-25 school year. This is going to be a great year.

 

I received my Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst after realizing I wanted to work with people and switching away from the engineering program. While working in the education field, I also continued my own classes and earned my teaching certification as well as my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.

 

My wife, Jeannette, and I have three fantastic children attending public schools.We all love to travel, have adventures, and learn about different places and cultures. One recent adventure was finding the wild ponies in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and visiting the hangout of Blackbeard the pirate.

 

I am looking forward to supporting the students, staff, and families that make Heron Pond School such a wonderful place. This should be another great adventure.
